Neil Ramey is a custom painter and owner of Neil’s Rod & Custom in Emmett Idaho, a custom paint and auto body shop.
Neil Has been painting and building cars since the late 1980s. He started with his passion for cars in high school automotive programs, thriving in the Auto Body program. After graduating high school in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Neil enlisted into the United States Air Force, and started his military career as a heavy equipment and general purpose vehicle mechanic. All through his time in the Air Force, Neil restored, customized, and painted cars and trucks for friends, honing the skills he discovered in high school. He started Neil’s Rod & Custom on a part time / spare time basis in 2001, while still serving in the Air Force active duty. Neil spent 26 years in the service of our country, and served on 7 separate deployments to the Persian Gulf, including Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. Neil retired from the Air Force in 2014 to pursue his passion for cars on a full time basis. Neil also started his relationship with God during his period with the military, when he started attending a Christian church outside of his base in Florida. Life has never been the same for him since then. He joined Rebuilding Generations to share his passion for cars with the younger generation, and to pursue further, his walk with Jesus.
